My name is Ed and I’m a Senior Consultant in LCP’s Insurance Consulting team. My clients value the breadth and depth of my reserving and wider actuarial experience, and the insight that I provide as a result.

I have led reserve reviews for large general insurers based in the UK and overseas, including personal and commercial lines, and the Lloyd's Market. I also help companies with Solvency II, including their technical provisions, actuarial function reports, and ORSA.

I have a particular interest in enhancing companies’ reserving processes, through developing new approaches and by automating more traditional techniques.

I’m a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and also have a master’s degree in Natural Science from Durham University. In my own time, I’m a keen sailor and also a trustee at “Offshore” – an award-winning charity that provides life changing sailing adventures for young people.
