LCP has welcomed Jon Wolff as Head of Covenant Services during a time of important growth for covenant within the industry.
Joining the firm last month (February), Jon has a wealth of expertise in pensions advisory from roles previously held at both Grant Thornton, where he had been a member of the firm’s covenant team since its inception in the mid-2000s, and the Pensions Regulator, where he undertook a six month secondment conducting investigations into high risk scheme valuation and recovery plan submissions.
Commenting on his appointment, Jon said: “It’s an exciting time to be joining LCP. Covenant has always been a key component for trustees to consider when assessing scheme risk, and the Regulator’s recent guidance on Integrated Risk Management (IRM) shows that it shares this view. Given its range of specialisms, LCP is ideally placed to assist trustees in developing IRM frameworks for their schemes.”
James Atherton, LCP Partner for covenant services, said: “We are delighted that Jon has chosen to join LCP. Covenant advice is becoming increasingly central to pension schemes’ decision making. Jon will lead the further development, and expansion of LCP’s covenant services, to ensure that LCP’s clients continue to receive focused and practical covenant advice that genuinely assists them in making better decisions to protect their members.”
