Matthew Bleakley
Consultant
He/Him
My name is Matt and I’m a Consultant in our Pensions Actuarial Department. I joined LCP in 2017 after graduating with a first class degree in Actuarial Mathematics from the University of Leeds. Having qualified as an Actuary in 2020, I work with a range of Corporate and Trustee clients advising them on all aspects of pension arrangements.
As a member of LCP’s specialist longevity de-risking team I am also heavily involved in project work, being part of the team that advises the Trustee of the Marks and Spencer Pension Scheme on their longevity hedging strategy, including six buy-ins completed to date. I also enjoy getting involved in other project work such as M&A transactions.
My other commitments at LCP include being a member of our growing Charity consulting team, along with being a New Business Champion and a Sector Champion for the Retail sector.
LCP provides clear and understandable information when asked which makes my decision making easier.
How I can help
We provide individual and high quality actuarial advice, taking a collaborative approach between trustees, employer and advisers, to ensure a focus on good member outcomes.
We are market leaders at each stage of de-risking, including planning, investment strategy, transactional services and wind up.
We help pension scheme trustees and sponsors to determine the ultimate destination for their scheme and help them put together a plan to get there, including how to effectively manage the risks they face along the way.
We help trustees achieve their strategic goals, with solution-led, appropriate advice.
