News Alert: the 31 March 2019 triennial valuation of the 89 Funds of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) in England and Wales is underway. Whilst timescales will vary by Fund, results are generally expected by September / October 2019 with any new contribution requirements coming into effect from 1 April 2020.
I am a Senior Consultant and actuary in LCP's Pensions Actuarial practice. I work with both trustee and corporate clients, and I am also part of LCP’s specialist social housing pensions team.
I have advised on a wide range of issues including funding and accounting matters, liability management exercises, scheme mergers, and participating in multi-employer pension schemes (such as those run the Pensions Trust).
I have also spoken at numerous social housing events on the issues facing housing associations in relation to their pension arrangements.
I also specialise in advising organisations that participate in the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS). Please see our Teachers Pensions portal to find out more about our work on teachers' pensions.
I am secure and comforted in the knowledge that, as a trustee, LCP just "get on" and act in the fund's best interests.
