Following the Government’s 2018 White Paper, the Pensions Regulator (TPR) has been ramping up its guidance on how schemes should be funded and managed – the Annual Funding statements of 2018 and 2019 as well as more recent TPR blogs have clearly signalled a direction of travel toward a new world of DB pensions regulation and oversight.
I joined LCP in 2017 as a Consultant in LCP's rapidly growing Covenant Services practice.
Since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW in 2015, I have been advising both trustees and sponsors of defined benefit pension schemes on a wide range of pension and strategy advice, predominantly helping my clients to understand their covenant.
Most notably, I have worked with a number of schemes with FTSE 100 and NASDAQ 100 sponsors and have helped their trustees assess the covenant impact of significant M&A situations and restructurings. I was also involved advising trustees in a recent regulatory anti-avoidance case that was settled with the Pensions Regulator (TPR).
I graduated with a Masters from Cambridge University and a MSc Actuarial Finance from Leeds Business School.
LCP have a practical way of looking at things and cut through the noise on essential issues.
