LCP’s first ever
march at Pride in London 2019

Media centre

For the first time ever, LCP will be marching at Pride in London this year helping to support the LGBT+ community.

A group of 35 LCP employees will be taking part in the Pride March through central London on Saturday 6th July 2019 dressed in the network’s rainbow-coloured T-shirts, in support of LCP’s LGBT+ network.

Pride in London is one of the world’s largest pride events, attracting over 1 million people to central London. Pride’s mission is to provide a platform for the LGBT+ community to fight for equality, challenge prejudice and celebrate the diversity of the community.

Jill Ampleford, partner & Co-head of Diversity & Inclusion at LCP, commented: “Diversity and inclusion are core LCP values and marching at Pride is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to being a workplace that encourages and welcomes people regardless of their sexuality, gender or background. We celebrate difference because we know how powerful it is to have a variety of people that can bring different perspectives to the work we do.”

Daniel Jacobson, Co-founder and Co-chair of LCP’s LGBT+ network, commented “Pride is more than just a celebration – it’s also a protest.  This year is the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprisings, which marked the start of the modern LGBT+ rights movement.  It’s important that the LGBT+ community and its allies not only continue to challenge the prejudice faced by many, but also publicly celebrate what the community stands for.  I’m delighted by the support, encouragement and enthusiasm that my friends and colleagues at LCP have given to the founding and development of the LGBT+ network and am proud to be part of LCP’s inaugural group participating in Pride in London.”

LCP are members of Stonewall’s Diversity Champions programme and work closely with them on a number of initiatives.
