LCP has appointed Laun Middleton as a Partner within its investment consultancy.
Laun – who joined the firm last month has been involved in pensions and investment for 15 years, most recently leading the corporate investment advisory team at Willis Towers Watson. He has also worked in the pension, investment and risk areas of Deloitte.
LCP partner Gavin Orpin said: “We are really pleased to have Laun join as a new partner in our growing investment practice, we also had two internal investment partner promotions this year. Laun’s background in corporate advice will be extremely valuable in helping both trustees and sponsors fully integrate the risk management and funding requirements of their pension schemes.”
Commenting on his new role, Laun said: “LCP has a great reputation in the industry for providing unconflicted advice that is tailored to each client. I am really excited to join the investment team and look forward to helping clients make more effective decisions with jargon free advice and clear recommendations.”
Laun is based in LCP’s London office. Prior to working as an investment consultant, Laun was an academic researcher and holds a doctorate in Financial Economics from the University of Cambridge.
Last week, LCP’s Investment team (jointly with Hymans Robertson) won ‘Investment Consultancy of the Year’ at the UK Pensions Awards.
