Q: When do you start reviewing applications for the summer placements?
A: We start reviewing applications for our 2023 summer internship programme in October 2022.
Q: When is the deadline for applications for the 2023 summer intern programme?
A: The deadline to apply for our 2023 summer internship programme is 13 February 2023.
Q: When does the summer intern placement commence?
A: Our summer intern programme typically commences in early July.
Q: How long will the programme last?
A: The programme typically lasts for 6 to 9 weeks although we may consider shorter or longer placements at our discretion.
Q: I am interested in applying, but I am not studying for a degree in mathematics, will my application still be considered?

Q: I have already graduated from university, will you still consider me for a summer placement?
A: We will consider applications from candidates of all backgrounds providing they demonstrate an interest in the work that we do and meet our summer intern programme requirements.
Q: I am in my first year of university but I am keen to find out more about actuarial work, would my application still be considered?
A: Internships are normally granted to undergraduates in the penultimate year of their degree. However if you have a strong interest in actuarial work and meet our requirements, we will consider your application.
Q: I am going on holiday over the summer, do you offer a placement programme at any other time of year?
A: Typically we only offer internships over the summer, although in exceptional circumstances we are willing to consider alternative dates for candidates who meet our requirements and can demonstrate a keen interest in the work we do.
Q: Will I be able to experience working in more than one department during my internship?
A: Typically our summer internships are based in a single department although we may consider rotations between departments at our discretion.
