Clive joined LCP from Oxford University in 1999. He became a partner in LCP in 2006 and heads up LCP’s buyout practice.
Clive has advised on some of the defining buy-in and buy-out transactions of recent years including leading the team advising GlaxoSmithKline and the trustees of two of their defined benefit pension schemes on a £900m buy-in transaction with Prudential. He has advised on buy-in for Home Retail Group and Uniq.
Clive is the co-author of LCP's authoritative report on the buyout market, "LCP Pension Buy-ins, Buy-outs and Longevity Swaps 2012".
Clive is an experienced conference speaker and has spoken at events hosted by the National Association of Pension Funds and the Association of Consulting Actuaries. He also comments regularly in the press and has been quoted on the front page of the Financial Times. Aside from buyout work, Clive is a Scheme Actuary for three FTSE 100 pension scehmes and advises a range of corporate clients.
