Lane Clark & Peacock appoints five new partners

Lane Clark & Peacock LLP (LCP), the leading firm of consulting actuaries, has made a series of promotions as it continues to expand.

Adam Michaels, Kevin Frisby, Mark Smith, Nick Clark and Phil Cuddeford have been promoted to partner.

Adam Michaels, a qualified actuary and member of LCP’s Investment Consulting team, joined LCP in 2004. As well as advising a wide range of trustees and companies on pension scheme investment strategy, he is part of the Alternative Assets panel, leading LCP’s research into tactical asset allocation and infrastructure investment.

Kevin Frisby, a qualified chartered accountant, joined LCP’s Investment Consulting team in 2008, and provides investment advice to trustee and corporate clients. He has 12 years investment consulting experience and leads LCP’s research on Diversified Growth managers.

Mark Smith, a member of LCP’s Employee Benefits Consulting team, has more than 18 years’ experience advising employers and trustees in both the public and private sector on the design, management and communication of pension and employee benefit plans. Mark joined LCP in 2007 and is an Associate of the Pensions Management Institute.

Nick Clark joined LCP in 2005 after qualifying as an actuary the previous year. Based in LCP’s Winchester office, he specialises in providing advice to UK and international companies and trustees on the future of their defined benefit pension schemes. He is an expert in pension scheme accounting and leads one of the three Winchester pensions actuarial teams.

Phil Cuddeford, a qualified actuary, is a member of LCP’s International Consulting practice. Phil has more than a decade’s experience advising multinationals on global benefits strategy and governance, international M&A projects and global accounting issues. He is an expert on Italian employee benefit issues and advises clients on risk appraisal in LCP’s innovative Financial Dynamics practice.

In addition Robert Ruiz, has been promoted from senior consultant to principal. Robert joined LCP in 2005 and specialises in the evaluation and development of mathematical models and actuarial consultancy software tools.
