| Department for Work and Pensions | Formed from the Department of Social Security and the Department for Education and Employment. |
| Office of Public Sector Information | Provides a wide range of services to the public, information industry, government and the wider public sector relating to finding, using, sharing and trading information. |
| The Pensions Regulator | The Pensions Regulator is the new regulator of work-based pension schemes in the UK and was created under the Pensions Act 2004. |
| Pension Protection Fund | The Pension Protection Fund was established to pay compensation to members of eligible defined benefit pension schemes. |
