How can the Chair of Trustees encourage their Board to be more effective and better supported?

At a time when trustees are coming under increasing scrutiny as well as pressure from the Regulator, we ask how the Chair of Trustees can encourage their Board to be more effective and better supported. These issues will be discussed using a combination of presentations by LCP speakers and a roundtable debate. Topics for discussion will include:

  • What is expected of trustees with differing backgrounds and experience?
  • How can those backgrounds and experience be most effectively utilised?
  • What support and guidance is provided for trustees who take on specific responsibilities or are members of a Trustee Committee?
  • Should trustees be paid?
