Training & Development   -   Professional

Professional development involves an intensive induction period, followed by regular sessions during your early years and beyond. This approach helps you to carry out client work to the best of your ability and ultimately becoming a successful consultant.

In addition, students study for appropriate professional examinations through correspondence courses and tutorial classes. The firm underlines its commitment to its trainees by offering generous financial support for tuition fees, including exam entry costs, and study leave. Partners and senior staff hold technical discussions with junior staff about the impact of forthcoming legislative and other changes affecting our clients.

How you progress at LCP is up to you. There are no age restrictions on advancement: for example one of our partners was just 29 when he became a partner and had only been qualified for 2 ½ years.

"My five years at LCP have shot by. I started by gaining a good theoretical grounding, which was underpinned by direct client work. Looking ahead another five years, I have no doubt that I will continue to develop and I certainly have partnership in my sights."

James, one of our qualified actuaries

"The LCP approach to staff training is particularly impressive both in the encouragement and incentives offered to staff to obtain professional qualifications as well as training on day-to-day issues."
